Zanzibaba Premium Concrete™
Every batch laboratory-tested. Every pour engineer-approved. Every batch of Zanzibaba Premium Concrete is laboratory-tested for strength, workability and durability. We use only washed sand, premium aggregates and engineer-approved mix designs — because not all concrete is equal.
Aggregate Strategy
Our aggregate selection process matches material properties to structural requirements. Standard grades utilize locally-sourced limestone aggregates that meet BS EN 12620 specifications. Premium grades incorporate imported granite aggregates with superior crushing strength, lower absorption rates, and enhanced particle shape for improved concrete performance in demanding structural applications.
Standard grades (C15–C35) use quality limestone aggregates and washed sand. These materials provide reliable structural performance for residential foundations, slabs, columns, and general commercial applications.
Higher-strength structural grades (C40–C50) may incorporate imported granite aggregates alongside limestone aggregates to support enhanced structural performance and durability requirements.
SITE EVIDENCE
Aggregate yard verification, cube testing and slump testing show how Zanzibaba checks concrete quality before and after dispatch.

Aggregate Yard Quality Control Zanzibar
Verified aggregate stockpiles are graded and screened before batching to ensure consistent concrete strength.

Concrete Cube Testing Zanzibar
Concrete cubes are tested at 7 and 28 days to verify compressive strength for every batch.

Concrete Slump Test Zanzibar
Slump testing confirms fresh concrete workability before placement on site.
Laboratory Testing
From raw material verification to dispatch, every stage of production is monitored and tested to ensure consistent quality.
Every mix design is verified against engineer specifications before production. We confirm cement content, aggregate ratios, water-cement ratio and admixture dosages to ensure the designed strength is achievable.
Concrete cubes are cast from every batch and tested at 7 and 28 days in our laboratory. Compressive strength results confirm the concrete meets or exceeds the specified MPa rating.
Slump tests measure workability and consistency of each batch. The results verify the concrete is neither too wet nor too stiff — ensuring it pumps, places and finishes correctly on site.
Aggregates are tested for gradation, particle shape, strength and absorption. Only premium crushed stone that meets our specifications is approved for use in Zanzibaba concrete.
Sand is tested for salt content, silt, organic matter and particle size distribution. Our washed sand technology removes contaminants that compromise concrete durability in Zanzibar's coastal environment.

In The Laboratory
Every test serves a specific purpose — confirming the concrete meets structural, durability and workability requirements.
Concrete cubes are tested at 7 days to verify early strength gain and at 28 days to confirm the design strength. Results are documented and available on request for every batch delivered.
The slump cone test measures concrete workability before discharge. A consistent slump within the specified range confirms proper mixing, water content and batching accuracy.
Sand samples are tested for chloride and sulphate contamination. Salt in concrete causes reinforcement corrosion and structural deterioration — our washed sand eliminates this risk.
Aggregates are sieve-tested to confirm particle size distribution matches the approved mix design. Proper gradation ensures dense, strong concrete with minimal voids.
Why Quality Matters
In Zanzibar's coastal environment, concrete quality is not optional — it is essential for structural integrity and long-term durability.
Concrete that meets specification means foundations, columns and slabs perform as designed — protecting the structure and its occupants for decades.
Zanzibar's marine environment accelerates concrete deterioration when contaminants are present. Our washed sand and tested mixes ensure long-term performance.
Quality concrete eliminates expensive remedial work. Getting it right the first time saves time, money and project delays.
We provide documentation for structural engineers — mix designs, batch reports and test results for full project traceability.
