C30 uses a richer mix than C25 — approximately 1:1.5:3 (cement:sand:aggregate) or equivalent. The additional cement content increases strength but also increases cost per cubic meter.
For columns and beams, C30 is typically the minimum specification. These elements carry concentrated loads and require the additional strength margin that C30 provides.
